Proud Mary Theatre Company’s Sordid Lives, the Southern cult comedy play by Del Shores, will now be virtual and streaming August 14-16.

Jada LaShay Bell made her Proud Mary debut with the Vampire Lesbians of Sodom and will play Noleta in the upcoming Sordid Lives. She has a BFA in Theatre from Limestone College. Some of her favorite acting credits include Mattie Fae in August: Osage County, Penny in You Can’t Take It With You, Poppy in Noises Off, and Jimmy Wyvette in The Red Velvet Cake War. She has directed numerous shows at the Gaffney Little Theatre, where she serves as a board member.

In this beloved play, a colorful family from a small Texas town must come to grips with the accidental death of the elderly family matriarch during a clandestine meeting in a seedy motel room with her much younger, married neighbor. The woman’s family must deal with their own demons while preparing for what could be an embarrassing funeral.

Streaming begins Friday, August 14 at 8 pm and ends at 8 pm on Sunday, August 16. Rated PG-13. Unlimited viewing all weekend for a donation of any amount on our website at proudmarytheatre.com.
