In this beloved cult classic play, a colorful family from a small Texas town must come to grips with the accidental death of the elderly family matriarch during a clandestine meeting in a seedy motel room with her much younger, married neighbor. The woman’s family must deal with their own demons while preparing for what could be an embarrassing funeral.

Mark Monaghan (G.W.) loves to laugh. His favorite comedic film is Sordid Lives, and has been since first seeing it on the big screen in Palm Springs, CA. He is grateful to producer, Sandy Staggs and director, Scott Waddell, for bringing laughter back into our lives. He is humbled to be joining this stellar cast of actors. This is his first performance with the award-winning Proud Mary Theatre Company.  His favorite prior performances include Dancing at Lughnasa, Outside Mullingar, Greater Tuna, and  Vanya, Sonya, Masha, & Spike. Mark’s favorite previous roles in musicals include The Fully Monty, Hello, Dolly!, The Sound of Music, Monk-Y Business, The Cradle Will Rock, Damn Yankees, and Annie.
Mr. Monaghan is a graduate of the Florida State University School of Theatre, and continued training with the Alliance Theatre School, the SAG/AFTRA On Camera Acting School. Locally, he studied voice with Dr. Keith Jones of Converse College. His performance is dedicated to Mr. Richard Shaw.
