Meet Our Head Over Heels Cast: Hugo Harvey

Proud Mary Theatre Company presents the Upstate premiere of the bold new musical comedy Head Over Heels by The Go-Go’s, the musical comedy of the Summer for seven performances only June 24-July 2, 2022.

This laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s (2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee), including the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” “Head Over Heels,” and Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You.”

HEAD OVER HEELS follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts.

Hugo Harvey makes his U.S. debut in Proud Mary Theatre’s Head Over Heels, and his first show since Oliver! when he was 11 years old at Pownal Hall School for Boys in the UK.

Hugo Harvey (Ensemble): “I am excited for my first show with Proud Mary.  First show since Oliver! when I was 11 years old at Pownal Hall School for Boys for that matter.  Having a wonderfully fulfilling career in hospitality for 20 years unfortunately did not leave time for singing and dancing, but now new career as a Master Barber, new schedule and here I am.  This has been an incredible challenge, but love the friends I have made in the process.  I’d like to thank my family for where I am, their unconditional love and support definitely made me the man I am today.  Cheers!”

Songs by The Go-Go’s. Based on The Arcadia by Sir Philip Sidney and Conceived by and Original Book by Jeff Whitty. Adaptation by James Magruder.

Sponsored in part by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the Upstate LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and Productions Unlimited
