Schuyler J Carson returns to Proud Mary Theatre’s virtual stage in Stuck by Paris Crayton III , kicking off the company’s #BlackQueerLivesMatter Series on January 29-31, 2021.
In this drama set in Atlanta, Jacob Charles has just received news that his girlfriend of three years is expecting their first child but he can’t seem to stop having dreams about someone else. He tries to unpack all of these thoughts through therapy. Little does he know that his therapist is going through her own problems trying to manage a relationship with a married woman.
Stuck features a cast of five incredible artists including Carson, Latreshia Lilly, Kristofer Parker, Antoinette Hall, and Ava Davis.
Carson, who plays a married woman and mother in a nine-year relationship with a lesbian therapist, is from Spartanburg, and Mom to a budding performer, Cheyenne. She is a veteran of the theatre and has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Lees-McRae College. Some favorite roles have included Matron Mama Morton/Chicago, Gary Coleman/Avenue Q, and Paulette/Legally Blonde. She is so excited to make her second appearance in a Proud Mary Show. “I hope that you all enjoy and we look forward to the day that stage lights are back on. Please stay safe and support virtual theatre for now.”
Streaming begins Friday, January 29 @ 8 AM and ends Sunday, January 31 @ midnight. This is a FREE event but registration is required on Eventbrite to obtain streaming information. Donations to Proud Mary can be made Here.
