Proud Mary Theatre Company’s Sordid Lives, the Southern cult comedy play by Del Shores, will now be virtual and streaming August 14-16.
SCOTT WADDELL (Brother Boy) is thrilled to be in his 1st production with Proud Mary. No stranger to SLT, his favorite roles over 27 year include: Memphis, The Civil War, Peter Pan, Noises Off, Not Now Darling and in one of his dream roles as Edna in Hairspray! Scott serves on the Board of Directors of SLT and has also appeared in over 30 other shows throughout SC and GA. He has directed Love, Sex & the IRS and Vania, Sonja, Masha and Spike for the Tryon Little Theater. His favorite role is just being Uncle Cotty to nephews Will, Gavin and Liam. Thanks to family and friends-especially Mom and Randy!
In this beloved play, a colorful family from a small Texas town must come to grips with the accidental death of the elderly family matriarch during a clandestine meeting in a seedy motel room with her much younger, married neighbor. The woman’s family must deal with their own demons while preparing for what could be an embarrassing funeral.
Artistic Director Sandy Staggs will direct Sordid Lives and the production will include musical performances by Bitsy Mae Harling (Leslie Hendon) and Brother Boy (Scott Waddell) and a whole lotta shenanigans.
Co-starring Lori Guthrie, Jada Lashay Bell, Lori Lee, Samona McMillan, Caitlyn Keefer, Joel Perkin, J.R. Bloomer, Jenn Alynn-Perri, Ken Snart. Brock Davis, and Sun Schwalm.
