Proud Mary Theatre Company’s Sordid Lives, the Southern cult comedy play by Del Shores, will now be virtual and streaming August 14-16.

Samona McMillan plays Latrelle – the mother and sister in denial – and is thrilled to be back in theatre after a 24 year hiatus.  Favorite roles have included Truvy in Steel Magnolias and Babe in Crimes of the Heart. Samona has also previously worked back stage as a director, stage manager, props manager, theatre intern – you name it! Samona also wants to give a big thank you to Sandy Staggs for the opportunity to join such a talented cast!

In this beloved play, a colorful family from a small Texas town must come to grips with the accidental death of the elderly family matriarch during a clandestine meeting in a seedy motel room with her much younger, married neighbor. The woman’s family must deal with their own demons while preparing for what could be an embarrassing funeral.

Streaming begins Friday, August 14 at 8 pm and ends at 8 pm on Sunday, August 16. Rated PG-13. Unlimited viewing all weekend for a donation of any amount on our website at proudmarytheatre.com.
