Proud Mary Theatre is proud to present a Facebook Live screening of Stuck by Paris Crayton III with a post-show discussion with the cast and special guest panelists Davelyn Hill and Kortney Lapeyrolerie of Speaking Down Barriers and Therapist Markias Littlejohn. Join us as we discuss themes in the play such as mental health, religion and queer identity in the African American community.

Stuck is directed by Clark E. Nesbitt and stars five incredible artists including Latreshia Lilly, Kristofer Parker, Antoinette Hall, Schuyler Carson Jackson, and Ava Davis. Streaming begins Friday, January 29 @ 8 AM and ends Sunday, January 31 @ midnight.

Davelyn Hill (she/her) is a queer Black woman creative living and working in the South. She is a Life Coach and the Executive Director of Speaking Down Barriers. Davelyn is a poet activist. She uses poetry as a medium to push conversation toward equity. Davelyn brings her creativity into every facet of her life whether writing poems or painting. Davelyn’s art and poem Questions are featured on the Spark and Echo website.

Kortney Lapeyrolerie (she/they) is a queer Black healing justice activist, birth worker, certified conflict mediator, and content creator. She is the founder and director of the Queer Doula Network, which maintains a digital LGBTQIA+ birth work and birth work-adjacent directory; provides workshops; and holds community spaces for LGBTQIA+ birth workers to find support. She has worked with the Black Health (formerly the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS) and the Latino Commission on AIDS providing capacity building around communications and sexual and reproductive health. She lives in Greer, SC in a multigenerational home that keeps a well-tended vegetable garden, more than a few pets, and an endless supply of storytelling. 

Markias Littlejohn is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist,  Certified Sex Therapist, and Mid-Level Practitioner in the states of : South Carolina, Texas, California, and Oklahoma. Markias is CEO, of Kairos Therapeutic Alliance LLC (A Concierge therapy agency), and has a Facebook Vlog entitled “Kairos Korner” which streams live every Monday 9pm est/ 6pm Pst. Markias was listed in the Huffington Post as “One of the Therapist you should know”. Markias uses innovation to help clients address their mental and sexual health needs, help clients identify the tools to live the life they want, and/or helps then accept the life they have chosen to live.
